Re: 2025 New Prices and Package Options

As is always the case, I want to thank you and express my gratitude for you choosing to practice at our studio. In respect of this valued relationship, I always try to be as transparent as possible regarding decisions made at the studio. When I set out to open the studio, now 8 years ago, my intention was not just to offer fair pricing, but to stay on the lower side of the price spectrum for this market while still offering as many amenities and best service as possible. In a perfect world, I would have loved to set the price once and leave it alone, but unfortunately, as I have learned after being open for 7 years, it just isn’t that simple.
Since we began, the average monthly cost of doing business has increased nearly 40%—most of that in the last 4 years. As costs increase, I’ve had to make internal cuts in certain areas to try and maintain prices, but in 2023 we had to raise prices some, and now I am faced with the certainty that we will need to raise them again.
Besides the overhead and increasing expenses, the fact of the matter is that the broader environment changed in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic and has never really returned to what it was when we first opened. Thus, for 5 years we have been trying to get to a sustainable place but struggle to get there; and in particular, 2024 revenues dropped significantly.
Although I never enjoy doing it, I am at a point now where to keep things going, I am forced to change prices again. I did my best to try to maintain rather competitive prices relative to the average rates you can find, and it still may mean that some cuts to our offerings will need to be made, but we continue to be optimistic in hopes of better economic conditions throughout the year.
I understand no one wants prices to increase, but trust me when I say this increase is still significantly lower than where we probably need to be to ensure that we can keep up sufficiently with paying overhead, so I am asking everyone to keep helping to continue supporting the studio, not only with buying packages, but also using them. When packages are purchased and used well within their valid dates, it not only helps the studio, but it also helps you get the most out of it too!
